Seattle’s professional soccer teams are the Seattle Sounders, with a men’s and women’s team under the same name. Seattle Storm is a Women’s National Basketball team that plays at the KeyArena. The Western Hockey League’s ice hockey team, the Seattle Thunderbirds, plays nearby in Kent. The city also has athletic teams for the University of Washington, called the Washington Huskies.

Some of the popular bars and nightlife attractions in the city include the 74th Street Ale House on Greenwood Avenue, Admiral Pub on California Avenue, Alibi Room on Pike Street, Bad Albert’s Tap and Grill on Ballard Avenue, and Bad Juju Lounge on 10th Avenue.


Dining is also plentiful throughout the Seattle, providing cafes and diners, fine dining, pizza joints, fast food, and just about everything you could imagine. Seattle is a great place to be if you want to shop, no matter what styles of store you’re looking for. They have antique shops and boutiques, secondhand stores and thrift stores, department stores, and high-end shops, all within blocks of each other. Look for hotels in Seattle that are near popular shopping malls like the Bellevue Square Mall, North Bend Premium Outlets, Northgate Mall, and Redmond Town Center. Weather and Climate

Seattle is known for having a wet climate overall, where the average amount of rain in a year is 37 inches. Most of the time, you can expect rain approximately 50 percent of the time, with the most rainy weather in the spring, fall, and winter. Like most other parts of the country, summer is the hottest and driest time of the year. However, the average weather in the summer is 75 degrees, considerably lower than other states on the west coast, but much warmer than you’d find in most northern states. Hotels in Seattle usually have individually controlled heaters and air conditioners to keep you comfortable, regardless of the weather outside.
