Comments: The Driskill is an ornate and historic building and hotel. It has quite the history and you an tell it was built with luxury in mind. I travel alot for work and I get so used to the cookie cutter Marriott style rooms. My room was a breath of fresh air with classic furniture and a very large bed (soft as well). Staying here was a treat.

Comments: nice hotel with traditional decor and furnishing. my bathroom wasn't huge but it did the job and the shower was strong. the bed was soft and everything was really clean. it's a classy place. give it a shot.

Comments: My husband and I weren't quite sure what to expect from this Austin landmark but we were pleasantly surprised with everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was superb. Our bathroom had a large soaking tub and reminded me of something straight out of the movie 'Aviator' with Leonardo DiCaprio. We'll be back next time we're in town.

The Driskill is located in central Austin, close to Paramount Theater, Governor's Mansion, and Texas State Capitol. Nearby points of interest also include Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and Blanton Museum of Art.

Recreational amenities include a health club, a fitness facility, and a steam room.
