Staff Value 9.1
My daughter and I attended a Twilight Convention at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel January 29-31, 2010. This was the best hotel experience we have ever had. The hotel was so beautiful and the staff went above and beyond normal courteous service. The food in all the resturants we tried was outstanding; the rooms were clean and the beds were the most comfortable I have EVER slept on. Both my daughter and I are looking forward to again staying at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in March, 2011, for the Twilight Convention. We can't wait!
The truth is that you don't ever have to leave the resort if you don't want to. There is so much to do inside. Multiple restaurants and live music every night. I've got to say the night life is great too with several bars. There's live vegetation and actual palm trees everywhere. Our room was extremely clean and we ordered room service several times and it was great. The food comes from the restaurants that are in the hotel. You literally order off the menu from that particular restaurant. This hotel isn't the cheapest in town but when you consider everything included in the hotel it is well worth the money.

We stayed for Christmas once and stayed at the one in Orlando. Both r wonderful my daughter age 13 is looking forward to us staying there for the CMA festival. SHE WANTS TO HAVE DINNER WITH TAYLOR SWIFT there is a fan club dinner does anyone know who to call to get her in. Its every kids dream, but I am willing to really go all out to help my daughter get this. Any suggestions? Anyway back to the hotel its great really , so just go and maybe we ll see yall there.
We just spent 3 days at the hotel and had a great experience! We've wanted to stay here for the last 5 years and the hotel lived up to our expectations. We arrived after 11pm and quickly found out that the hotel has 24 hour room service. The best part is that if the room service takes longer than 30 minutes it's on the hotel. We ordered up some dinner and it was delivered in only 20 minutes and it was great!
This really is a great hotel. It's the perfect escape to a tropical paradise that happens to be in the middle of the city. The gardens are beautiful with tons of things to do. There's great shopping within walking distance and Oprymills is actually a fun experience. It's hard to believe but there's a riverboat inside the hotel and make sure to take a ride.
Everything was wonderful except you could not regulate the shower water temperature. Either too hot or too cold, no in between. C6029.
Stayed 2 nights over New Years 2015. No chairs in room to sit on. 24 dollars a day to park-had to walk a mile after parking.Food prices atrocious at all places we ate at. Requested seating for two at Jack Daniels-wait was approx 20 minutes and there were oodles of tables available inside. Left our room at 8:30 am returned at 2:30 pm and room had not been cleaned. The signage for getting places is terrible--very confusing in such a large place. Got out of a concert at 11 pm and hardly anything open for a bite to eat. The one that was open had pre-made roast beef sandwiches for $9.95 tax The mighty dollar has taken over instead of the care and concern for the customer.
Check in took 45 minutes. Parking was extremely overpriced, and once in the lot, parking was very limited. Vehicles were allowed in the lot after all of the spots were filled, leading to people double parked, and parking on the medians. We were not please with Fuse forcing patrons to leave at 9 to host the NYE party. This was a pretty big night for college football fans. The whole resort seemed extremely unorganized. The girl checking us in was very polite, but I was not able to understand her instructions, as her accent, while beautiful, was heavy. We will not be back to this resort.
One of the most gorgeous resorts I've visited, but the lay out of the floors is awful.
Very nice place.
overpriced, overrated, and restaurant service is SLOW
The hotel check in took 30 minutes. The parking and hospitality charges were excessive. I would not stay at the hotel again.
Absolutely beautiful hotel and resort! We booked (unknowingly) through a third party who led us to believe we had a deluxe room. When we checked in we were advised that it was a standard room. The room was fine but we were expecting better. Your third party contracts should be advised not to lie to your guests. It definitely detracts from the quality experience that you are trying to achieve.
I booked 4 rooms for a conference that myself and my staff members attended. One room was for my mother. We were also there to celebrate her 69th birthday. During the first day her thermostat was broken. Engineering went up to fix the problem during the day. The room was very cold. The same night the issue continued. Extra blankets were brought up and engineering went up again. Finally at 230am in the morning the problem was fixed but my mother was exhausted the next day. I complained to management twice. Both managers said they would contact me. Well I checked out and am now back in California and have not heard a word. How long does it take? Very disappointing that the situation that occurred has not been acknowledged. I travel quite a bit and have not ever faced a situation like this before.
It's a gorgeous hotel but for $348 we got two bath towels, no hand towels and one bar of soap. And there were no newspapers in the lobby or at our door. Also I'm sure there were some rhyme or reason to the way the elevators and floors are laid out and lab and floors are laid out and labeled, but it was a bit confusing.
