Comments: I have worked the last 8 years as a tour guide throughout Guatemala, Mexico and Belize. The hardest place to find a safe location, clean hotel with good food is always Belize City. Belize City doesn't have the nice resorts that you find out on the islands or the inland jungle resorts. There are a handful of large hotels but only the Best Western is located outside the oft dangerous city yet close enough to whatever you need. It is a clean hotel with great service and great food. The pool is very nice and they also have plenty of conference rooms. Internet in the lobby works great. Highly recommended.
