Most of the attractions outside of the beaches are guided tours where the bus will pick you up at the hotel and drop you off at the hotel afterwards. There are public buses but they are mostly for commuters and locals, and you do not want to get caught in the two-hour long rush hour in the morning and evenings. Beware of the hurricane season that starts in June and continues through August, as the coast tends to be extremely windy on a daily basis.
