One-Third of Chicago Equals One Whole Memorable Adventure
The Social Science Research Committee at the University of Chicago unofficially split up the city of Chicago into a number of communities, starting at 75 in the 20s and reaching 77 by 1980. Of those 77, 23 are contained in the northern parts of the city, a full third of the entire area and the most densely populated residentially. With a stay at any of the hotels near North Side of Chicago, you can explore each of these communities and quickly discover that you may need more than one trip to do them any justice.
Plenty of Fun Things to Do
In an attempt to give you just a small idea of what is in store for you after you arrive, here is a quick rundown of some of the highlights of just a few of them. In Lake View, you can watch the Cubs play at Wrigley Field or see the totem pole of Kwanusila. In Lincoln Park, you can stand in awe of the 1,208 acres of lakefront public parkland from which the community gets its name. Witness the 26-mile Chicago Boulevard System in Logan Square, the historic Graceland Cemetery in Uptown, or the inspiration for Grease in Norwood. Fly right in the area in O’Hare, spend the day on the beach in Edgewater, catch a film at the Patio Theater in Portage Park, or visit the birthplace of Walt Disney in Hermosa.
If you enjoy a walk in the park, there are more than 10 different parks waiting in Albany Park, and you will want to make time for the festivals and events in Jefferson Park. And that only accounts for half of the exciting communities that will entertain and inspire you when you make a reservation at one of the hotels near North Side of Chicago.
