What is the Strip?

The Strip is a four mile long section of the Las Vegas Boulevard that passes through Paradise and Winchester, Nevada. Getting Around the Strip

Getting around the strip is best done with public transportation. The Vegas Monorail travels from the Sahara to the MGM Grand and makes stops at many popular Strip hotels and attractions. Note that the monorail runs from from seven in the morning until well after midnight. Taxi cab service is readily available, though it is a little pricier and limits you to five passengers. The buses on the Strip run around the clock, so you can always know you have transportation available.

If you’d rather have privacy, check into a limousine service or rent a car. The McCarran International Airport has a car rental center that makes it easy to pick up your car after grabbing your bags. From there, you can drive to hotels near the Strip in Las Vegas and take advantage of on-site parking during your stay.
