The hotel at Riverside, adjacent to the Cruise Terminal, is close to Harrah’s Casino, the Mississippi River, and the French Quarter. The Hilton New Orleans Airport is directly opposite the Louis Armstrong International Airport. It is close to I-10 and minutes from Downtown New Orleans.

The French Quarter offers shopping, nightlife, and entertainment. There are numerous museums and cultural events, including opera, dance, theater, and orchestra events.

Shopping is everywhere in the Quarter. Check out the New Orleans Market, a five-block stretch of restaurants, retail shops, and a flea market. Riverwalk Marketplace also offers interesting shops carrying clothing, crafts, and jewelry.

Getting Around

You can use the streetcar line close to the Hilton Hotel at St. Charles Avenue to get around. This area of New Orleans is a walker’s paradise. You can also rent a bike or take a bicycle tour of the area. Carriage rides are available too.

Hilton New Orleans Riverside is steps from the streetcar line. It is also easy to get around if you like to walk. If you like to bike, you can rent one and even take a bicycle tour.

The hotel at the airport has a shuttle service, as well as complimentary parking if you bring your car.

The Louis Armstrong International Airport is named for the famed trumpet player who was born in New Orleans. The airport was originally called Moisant Field, but it was changed in 2001.
